MatchCoach ("the App," "we," "us") is an AI dating assistant. It helps you write replies for dating apps (Reply Coach), check a message before you send it (Message Check), and get feedback on your own dating profile (Profile Review), including through a keyboard extension that works inside other apps. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the App processes, how it is used, and the third parties involved. You can use the App without creating an account or signing in.
Screenshots you select. When you use Reply Coach, Message Check, or Profile Review, you choose screenshots (of a conversation, a dating profile, or your own profile) from your photo library. These images are sent to our AI processing service to generate the requested output. They are processed only to fulfill your request and are not stored on our servers after the response is returned.
Text you enter. Optional inputs — such as a draft message to check, a "what are you going for" vibe/goal, or extra context about a match — are sent with your request to generate a more relevant result. They are not stored on our servers after processing.
Your profile details. If you add your own dating profile for personalization, the screenshots and the description derived from them are stored locally on your device and are sent to the AI service when generating output. They are not permanently stored on our servers.
Reply preferences. When you keep (copy/use) or dismiss a suggested reply, the App records those examples to tailor future suggestions to your style. These preferences are stored locally on your device, and a small number of your most recent kept/dismissed reply examples are included in requests to the AI service so it can match your taste. They are not used to identify you.
Usage analytics. To understand how features are used and to improve the App, we collect anonymous usage data: a randomly generated identifier (not linked to your name, email, or any real-world identity), your country/region and device language, device model, operating system version, app version, and counts of in-app actions (such as replies generated, kept, or dismissed, checks run, reviews run, your most-used tone, and subscription status). This data does not include the content of your messages, conversations, or profile.
Google (Gemini AI & Cloud). Screenshots, text inputs, profile details, and recent reply-preference examples are sent to Google's Gemini AI service for processing, via our backend hosted on Google Cloud. This data is used to produce your result and is subject to Google's privacy terms. Our backend acts as a processing relay and does not retain your screenshots or message content.
Apple. Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. We receive only your subscription status so the App can unlock premium access.
Analytics. The anonymous usage data described above is recorded using a Google-hosted service so we can analyze aggregate usage trends.
Advertising. The App does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising or ad-tracking services.
The MatchCoach keyboard extension requires "Allow Full Access" solely so it can connect to the internet and reach our AI service to generate replies. The keyboard does not log, read, or transmit your keystrokes or anything you type in other apps. It only processes the screenshots you explicitly select and inserts the reply you choose. You can disable the keyboard or its Full Access at any time in your device Settings.
App data — your profile details, reply preferences, settings, free-usage count, subscription status, and the anonymous analytics identifier — is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that persistently store your screenshots, messages, or conversations; those are processed transiently to fulfill each request. Anonymous usage analytics are retained in aggregate to help us understand trends. Deleting the App removes the data stored on your device.
MatchCoach is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will address it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
